About Me

I am New Testament Tutor for St Mellitus College and St Paul's Theological Centre, London. In my postgraduate research (under the supervision of Max Turner) I’m working on a thesis that concerns the christological significance of the language Paul used to describe the relationship between risen Lord and believer. My blog, Chrisendom, is primarily occupied with biblical and theological themes – especially those Apostle Paul shaped, but I try as best as I can to squeeze in a decent amount of inappropriate baloney on the way. Well, all right then, Chris. I shared this video on my face book site. Thanks for the link.
Chris, I must add that I removed the video from my Facebook page, because I learned that the songwriter, Chris Brown, was arrested for abusing his girl friend. The couple in the video, the Kleins, were terrible embarrassed when they learned about the arrest and are now donating proceeds to a group that advocates against domestic violence.
I wonder if anyone can name the most horrendous act ever committed by a writer of a popular song (classical and/or pop artist)?
Martin Luther wrote two tracts defaming "the Jews," so I guess singing, "A Mighty Fortress is Our God" is also out of the question.
Edward, I simply wanted Chris to know that the link to the video was no longer on my Facebook page. I'm not saying that we should not sing or play the music of those who may have acted wrongly, nor did I imply that anyone else should do as I did. At that moment, since the abuse was recent, I didn't want the song on my page. It was a personal choice. I like "Forever", and I will, no doubt, play or listen to the song sometime in the future.
