Michael Pahl offers his thoughts on Bauckham's Jesus and the Eyewitnesses, here. Do give the whole thing a read. It seems, among other things, that the inclusio argument is failing to convince a few folk (see also here and here)

I am New Testament Tutor for St Mellitus College and St Paul's Theological Centre, London. In my postgraduate research (under the supervision of Max Turner) I’m working on a thesis that concerns the christological significance of the language Paul used to describe the relationship between risen Lord and believer. My blog, Chrisendom, is primarily occupied with biblical and theological themes – especially those Apostle Paul shaped, but I try as best as I can to squeeze in a decent amount of inappropriate baloney on the way. I finally managed to get hold of a copy of this book at the weekend. Only a mere five and a half months after Eerdmans' original publication date of September, 2006! Not bad!
And, guess what? It's a second printing, according to the information on the verso of the title page. That's completely irrelevant except for the fact that it indicates that, when Eerdmans got more orders for this stellar title than they had planned for, instead of doing the decent thing and sending all bookstores who had pre-ordered it *some* copies, they did the much cheaper and more profitable option of feeding the Big Internet Bullies (Amazon and Barnes & Noble) as many copies as they needed and, when first printing copies ran out, those unlucky bookstores who had pre-ordered months earlier had to wait even longer until Eerdmans could schedule, print, box and ship a second printing.
So . . . Eerdmans does very well out of this book, the internet whales do very well, the only ones to suffer due to lack of supply and prolonged delays are those "bricks and mortar" bookshops who had to wait an extra two months for any copies at all to come their way.
So when those bricks-and-mortar stores close down (and how can they compete with the internet giants who have been supplied with copies months earlier, sold to them at deep discounts?), don't be too surprised . . .
