I am New Testament Tutor for St Mellitus College and St Paul's Theological Centre, London. In my postgraduate research (under the supervision of Max Turner) I’m working on a thesis that concerns the christological significance of the language Paul used to describe the relationship between risen Lord and believer. My blog, Chrisendom, is primarily occupied with biblical and theological themes – especially those Apostle Paul shaped, but I try as best as I can to squeeze in a decent amount of inappropriate baloney on the way. Ok, this guy is a complete nut case - I know of him very well because his cult (yes I mean cult in the truest, David Koresh, sense of the word) is located in the town where I grew up (Abilene, TX -West Texas).
I am curious...if the world ends tomorrow, should i still buy my wife a birthday present today if her bday is on the 13th? this is such a predicament...what if this guy is wrong!? what if i'm wrong!?

Buy the present-- play it safe. After all, which would you rather have- an angry wife or nuclear annihilation? Me, I'd take the nuclear thing any day!

In aus - the 12th has come and almost gone (currently 10.30pm). It is certainly exciting waiting for the end. I hope i am raptured.

thanks for the sound advice...i purchased the gift this afternoon. though, i must confess, i kept the receipt in case my wife is raptured up without me...

-1 days to go, according to the website. Guess it was a secret, invisible nuclear war after all! Shane did you get raptured? I didn't expect to so I'm not a good test case. :-)
No rapture - so sorry frank, you'll have to wait a bit longer to get my blog!
